A virtual world for 6,000 birds.
PROOF's Moonbirds community needed a home beyond chat and feeds. We designed a persistent Unity world for live events, streams and exhibitions — a destination, not a disposable page.
A destination, not a page
A virtual gathering space for the Moonbirds community — over 6,000 members who needed a place to come together beyond chat and social feeds. The space hosted live events, video streams and curated art exhibitions, giving the community a persistent environment that felt like a destination rather than a disposable page.
We were responsible for the spatial design and layout inside Unity, organising one environment to serve several functions — event space, gallery, social area — without feeling generic: a clear heart, distinct rooms, and thresholds that let a crowd flow.
A hand-drawn world
To give the world its own identity we integrated custom hero assets from the community's 3D artists and developed custom shaders and post-processing effects for a hand-drawn, illustration-like art style — deliberately apart from the typical virtual-world aesthetic. Covered by CoinDesk.
