2,000 artworks. 15 galleries. One coherent space.

The official virtual exhibition for NFT.NYC, built with MONA. The challenge was scale: make two thousand works feel curated, not overwhelming.

Scale as the design problem

An official virtual exhibition for NFT.NYC, built with the MONA platform: over 2,000 artworks across 15 curated categories, all connected through a central hub with one portal per category. The core challenge was scale — making a collection this large feel navigable and coherent rather than overwhelming.

We designed the layout to give each category its own spatial identity while holding on to one clear circulation path, so visitors could explore freely without ever being lost. The architecture borrows directly from physical exhibition design: sightlines, thresholds between zones, progression from the general to the specific.

Organic reach

The space drove real engagement — featured artists shared their own galleries with their audiences, pulling visitors into the experience organically. Covered on the MONA blog.
